HINDU Rights Action Force (Hindraf) chief P. Waythamoorthy said a special committee would be formed to look into the welfare of the Indian community as it was still lagging in the education, business, economic and religious sectors, Malaysia Nanban reported.
He said in a statement that the committee would play an important role in creating awareness, work independently and be represented by Indians from the country and overseas.
He stressed that Hindraf was not politically aligned to any party and it would not stop in its fight for the betterment of Indians.
