Kenapakah YB A.Sivasubramaniam mencalonkan nama YB M.Kulasegaran?

- Kenapa Datuk Bandar terlibat?

PENANG GOVERNMENT SCANDAL - malaysiakini

by CHARLES HECTOR of http://charleshector.blogspot.com

Wasting the peoples' money is wrong. The quantum is immaterial. BN may have squandered billions, but it cannot justify Pakatan squandering even thousands.

A good question for Lim Guan Eng - Why send 52 persons for a 5 day 'trade-mission' to South Kora? How much did the State spend? Who were in this large delegation? How were they chosen? Were they Pakatan cronies? Did the wife pay for herself?

The state government came under fire from local BN leaders, especially from Umno and Gerakan, for allegedly wasting public funds in an unusually large 52-person trade delegation to South Korea for a five-day trip beginning Oct 27.

They also questioned the reasons for Lim to take along his wife, Betty Chew, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin and parliamentarians Jeff Ooi, who is the state industrial relations coordinator and an InvestPenang director, Liew Chin Tong, to South Korea. - Malaysiakini, 2/11/2008 - Lim defends Korean trade mission

I read the Malaysiakini report entitled "Lim defends Korean trade mission" but alas, it looked very much like any other BN politician.

Distract-- he talked about "He said the critics, mainly Barisan Nasional politicians, should have instead saved their time and energy to scrutinise and criticise the RM23.7 billion wastage caused by three major scandals recently...."

Not really respond - Reading the report, I am sad to say that the questions have not been answered. When asked to divulge the BUDGET - he procrastinated, saying that some other will provide answers in a few days. Come now - is he not the Chief Minister. Are we not in an age when it is so easy to communicate and get necessary information?

And most shocking was that the trip had only managed to get some money to build a GOLF COURSE....
Lim said BN politicians should have criticised those scandals if they were serious and sincere to wiping out wastage and leakages of public funds, instead of disapproving his Far East delegation, which had secured a RM100 million Korean investment to construct a golf course in the Batu Kawan parliamentary constituency.- Malaysiakini, 2/11/2008 - Lim defends Korean trade mission
I think Kit Siang would also not be able to defend what Guan Eng did here....this nice 5 day trip to South Korea for 52 persons. I only hoped that they did not use State Money to pay for the 52.

Maybe the Malaysiakini report was not complete and accurate - BUT tell me where I can find out the truth about this 'scandal'

MIC PRESIDENT RACE : DATO SOTHI - wait-and-see game : MALAYSIAKINI

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 (Bernama) -- The MIC has postponed the elections for its top posts, except that of president, to September next year, according to party sources.

They reveal that the decision to move the party polls from June to September was taken at a meeting of the MIC central working committee (CWC), the party's highest decision-making body, earlier this month.

However, the election for the post of president would go on as scheduled in late February next year, the sources told Bernama.

Long-serving president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, who took over the leadership of the party in 1979 and has retained the post for 10 consecutive terms, is the only candidate so far to announce his intention to contest the top post.

Tamil newspapers earlier this month quoted him as saying he would hand over the MIC to whosoever was picked as the deputy president at the party polls this time around.

Although the last party elections were held in June 2006, the MIC constitution allows for the CWC to defer the election of top office-bearers for a period of 18 months. The nearly 1,500 divisional delegates would, at the polls now set for September next year, pick a deputy president, three vice-presidents and 23 CWC members.

Compared to other political parties in the country, the MIC has a different system in electing its national office-bearers. The presidential election is held at least three months ahead of the elections for the other posts. The president, in the case of a contest, is picked by branch office-bearers while other national leaders are picked by divisional delegates.

The deputy presidency seems to be the all-important post this time around as observers feel that the man who fills this post would lead the 650,000-member MIC into the next general election.

Another school of thought says Samy Vellu might decline going for the presidency if he can strike a deal among the big players in MIC politics before February next year, but this is unlikely to happen taking into account the political ambitions of a few in the upper hierarchy of the party.

"Things are very unclear now. Nobody knows what is going on in his (Samy Vellu's) mind. It is all a guessing game. Only time will tell who he would endorse as his deputy, if he ever endorses anyone," party veteran and treasurer-general Tan Sri M. Mahalingam told Bernama, when contacted.

Many in the party, without voicing out, prefer Samy Vellu to leave and let democracy take its course. This is, however, rebutted by the 72-year-old leader, who says he does not want to leave the party in disarray due to political infighting after his departure as the president.

The MIC, like other Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties in the peninsula, suffered a bruising defeat in the March 8 general election when only three of its nine parliamentary candidates won.

The three are Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam (Segamat), who is the human resource minister and MIC secretary-general; Datuk M. Saravanan (Tapah), the federal territories deputy minister and MIC information chief; and Datuk S. K. Devamany (Cameron Highlands), deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department.

Dr Subramanian is seen as potential deputy president material. Others expected by party observers to join the contest for deputy president are Datuk S. Subramaniam, the former deputy president; Datuk G. Palanivel, the incumbent deputy president and Datuk S. Sothinathan, an incumbent vice-president.

It is learnt that Dr Subramaniam will only contest the party's No. 2 post with the blessings of Samy Vellu while the other three are playing a wait-and-see game.

Samy Vellu, one of the longest-serving presidents of a BN component party, had said after his defeat in the Sungai Siput parliamentary constituency in the general election and in an effort to consolidate the MIC that he would not take sides in the deputy president's race.

It has been the norm in the party, over the last two decades, for the MIC chief to come up with a list of preferred candidates for national positions and this practice, some claim, had "killed democracy" in the party.

At the last elections, he proposed that Palanivel be given the endorsement for deputy president to overthrow Subramaniam who had served as the party No. 2 for 27 years prior to the 2006 party election defeat.

In a bid to "strengthen" the party, Samy Vellu has since patched up with Subramaniam, who had been a thorn in Samy Vellu's flesh since the mid-1970s, and the "deal" was that the MIC chief would not take sides at the next party polls, especially in the tussle for deputy president.

"He (Samy Vellu) created Palanivel to kill off Subramaniam (known in party circles as Subra). Now he has both of them on each side. On top of that, he has Dr Subramaniam, who is a full minister. To add icing to the cake, Sothinathan, who garnered the highest number of votes in the veep race the last time around, is knocking at the door of the deputy presidency.

"But one cannot discount other candidates, like Saravanan who is seen by the community as a breath of fresh air. Young leaders like him and several others are breaking into the ranks. They too have ideas which they feel are relevant to the younger generation and current political trend in the country," said S. Ananthan, the MIC president's former political secretary.

However, Ananthan argues that it is time for the MIC to change, not only through a rebranding exercise but also from inside, meaning changing the leadership.

"If you see, the entire line-up, may it be Samy Vellu, Subra, Palanivel or even Sothi(nathan), are old names. The general election results told MIC a lot of things but they should learn lessons instead of continuing with their old ways. Putting up a list of preferred candidates will destroy the party.

"Indians want to support the MIC but the party itself should reinvent the way it operates. It has to offer something to the Indians. That is the difficult part. Indians want the party to show that it has changed for the good," Ananthan said.

The point is valid as Malaysian Indian voters turned their backs on the BN at the 2008 general election, a departure from the hitherto traditional way of the community throwing its entire support behind the ruling coalition. The reasons for the community to turn away from the BN are numerous and the MIC should partly take the blame for this state of affairs.

The future of Indian support for the party hinges on who are picked as its national leaders at the next party polls as the elected leaders would be the ones leading the 62-year-old party into the next general election.

DAP SLAMS PAS - malaysiakini

DAP has taken its Pakatan Rakyat coalition partner PAS to task, saying its outburst against the abolition of the 30% bumiputra requirement for public listed companies is misguided.

DAP national publicity secretary Tony Pua said although the outburst was well-intentioned, taking steps instead to liberalise the financial markets was the way forward.

“As stated, bumiputras failing to achieve the 30% equity despite nearly 40 years of the New Economic Policy only proves that achieving equity through regulation will not achieve the objective of increasing their wealth in the shortest possible time,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Pua said the current 19% wealth ownership, if accurate, had remained stagnant since the 1990s.

“Secondly, for bumiputras to achieve not only 30% of the nation’s wealth, but also a meaningful 30%, it is critical for the capital markets to be liberalised to attract global capital,” he said.

Pua said liberalising the financial markets would allow for a more dynamic economy accompanied by greater wealth creation

PAS BETRAYS PKR! - malaysiakini

Pas, a member of the Pakatan Rakyat coalition government in Selangor, is unhappy with the appointment of Low Siew Moi as acting head of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).

Selangor Pas commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Mohamad Ali, who is also a state executive councillor, said today that the party would help the state government find a more suitable candidate.

Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim announced yesterday that Low, who is PKNS corporate and accounts deputy general manager, would be appointed acting general manager for a year following the retirement of Datuk Harun Salim at the end of October.

The appointment also did not go down well with the corporation’s staff. At the Selangor State Assembly, their representatives, led by PKNS Senior Officers Association president Idris Ishak, submitted a memorandum of protest to Khalid during recess.

Hasan told reporters later that he had discussed the matter with Khalid who had indicated his willingness to shorten Low’s tenure if Pas was able to come up with suitable candidates.

Hasan said he had asked Khalid why two most senior officers — Deputy General Manager (Administration) Md Nasir Md Arshad and Deputy General Manager (Technical) Abdul Ghani Hassan — were not appointed to succeed Harun.

He said Khalid had told him that Low was appointed because of her professionalism and administrative ability but Pas was of the view that the two deputy general managers had their own strengths and should have been considered for promotion.

Hasan said Khalid wanted the new general manager to bring reforms to PKNS and dignify the rights of bumputeras in trade, business and economy in urban areas, town outskirts and new development areas despite the fact that Low was not a bumiputera.

He said Pas would hold a meeting soon to look at the list of party members who could bring PKNS to greater heights. - Bernama betrays

WILL SOTHINATHAN BE THE NEXT MIC PRESIDENT? - MALAYSIAKINI

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — A significant number of Malaysians reading this article were not even born when Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu became the president of MIC.

He took over in 1979 on the death of Tan Sri V. Manikavasagam and has stayed on since through many ups and downs, reinventing himself and the MIC several times along the way.

But he faces his greatest challenge now after Indians, mostly working-class Tamils, abandoned the MIC in large numbers during the March 8 general election and voted for the opposition.

The revolt was so extensive that many Indians even overcame their fear of Islam and voted for Pas.

With the political landscape so radically changed, Samy Vellu faces three major challenges now:

First, is how well he can win back a good number of the Indians back to the MIC and by extension to the Barisan Nasional.

Second is to reorganise the MIC into a truly mass-based grassroots organisation, as it was in 1970s and early 80s, and find a successor to hand over power at an "appropriate" time.

Third is Samy Vellu's desire to erase the humiliating defeat he suffered in Sungei Siput and exit the political stage as a winner so he will be remembered as a hero.

Samy Vellu is not sparing time, resources and money to meet and overcome all three challenges.

He has become intensely focused since March 8 on how to erase that defeat, re-brand the MIC and exit honourably, party insiders said.

If necessary, he has told his close confidants he wants to stand again in Sungei Siput and win to erase the humiliating defeat.

"If anything this is what Datuk Seri (Samy Vellu) really desires… to consolidate, win and hand over and walk out as a winner," a senior MIC leader close to Samy Vellu told The Malaysian Insider on condition of anonymity.

"He has told his inner circle that if he achieves this he will die happy," the MIC leader said.

In comments made on Deepavali day, Samy Vellu revealed some of his inner thoughts when he said he had "fixed" the time to transfer power but still wants to contest as president in March 2009.

"I will also go. I have fixed the time already," he said, rejecting criticism he was hanging on compared to other BN component party leaders who are handing over to their successors after seeing the writing on the wall.

Next March about 3,600 MIC branches will elect a president and up to now there is no challenger in sight for Samy Vellu.

One reason why challenging Samy Vellu is futile is because a challenger needs at least 300 MIC branches to endorse his challenge to qualify to contest.

He has the added weight as an incumbent to use "carrot or stick" methods available to him to ensure he gets the nominations and challengers are denied the same nominations.

Another reason is that he has successfully duped long-time rival Datuk S. Subramaniam into believing that he stands a chance of inheriting the party if he plays along and does not whip up a storm among the party grassroots.

The only other possible challenger is his current No. 2 Datuk G. Palanivel who appears to have lost steam after his defeat in the March polls.

Samy Vellu privately accused Palanivel of stirring up some anti-Samy Vellu sentiments soon after the polls but the initial stirrings have not taken off and become a broad based movement to oust the veteran.

While the ground is ripe for a revolt against Samy Vellu, there is no leader brave enough to lead such a movement.

"The grassroots are crying for a rebel leader but none dare to wear that hat," said a MIC Selangor division leader.

Samy Vellu is also not waiting for a rebellion to develop.

Since the polls, he has been striding forward with his re-branding of the MIC by holding numerous forums and "re-thinking" sessions with party branch and divisional leaders.

The yields from the "re-branding" are uncertain but a lot of time and money is being invested in giving the MIC a new oomph!

By June 2009 Samy Vellu has to anoint, select and finally have "elected" a successor and the field is wide open with incumbent Palanivel expected to defend his post and with Subramaniam, vice-president Datuk S. Sothinathan and outsider Datuk M. Muthupalaniappan making it a four-cornered fight.

Samy Vellu has repeatedly said he would not interfere but would accept as deputy anybody elected by the delegates, a promise few MIC delegates are willing to take at face value.

The talk is Samy Vellu is expected to back Sothinathan, largely because he had handled Samy Vellu's and the party's finances before being co-opted into the party hierarchy in the early 1990s as a counterweight to Palanivel.

"Sothi has inside knowledge… he is family," party insiders said. "The other possible successor is one way or other too sullied for associating with Samy Vellu's opponents."

At stake is also an estimated RM800 million in assets — cash, buildings, businesses, colleges and universities — that are variously owned by the MIC or held in trust, the party insiders said.

Unlike his BN colleagues, handing over of power for Samy Vellu is more complicated with the line between personal, family, party and public all criss-crossing and unclear and near impossible to unravel.

"Samy Vellu is looking for continuity, stability and a personal victory before exiting," MIC insiders said. "That means he would stay at least until 2013 before finally bowing out, if at all!

YB CHARLES SANTIAGO VS KEDAH MB - MALAYSIAKINI

PRESS STATEMENT YB CHARLES SANTIAGO

Charles Santiago : Kedah MB should be a Leader of All Malaysians

Date : 11 Oct 2008

The announcement by Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak to increase the Bumiputera quota for housing is in complete contradiction with the efforts by the opposition alliance to shun race-based policies.

His suggestion does not just endorse the New Economic Policy, which only helped line the wallets of those close to the ruling elite, but also plays along the dangerous game of racial politics.

The Bumiputeras currently enjoy a 30% quota and therefore further increment to 50% would deprive other communities from buying houses, especially the poor and lower middle classes.

Azizan’s subtle threat to direct government-linked companies to build the houses, should private developers refuse to do so is shocking as the Menteri Besar should not pump public funds for projects that only favor a particular community.

As part of the Pakatan Rakyat we should work together to create policies that are targeted to help vulnerable communities. Affirmative action should be need-based and not race-based.

Yours sincerely,

CHARLES SANTIAGO

Member of Parliament, Klang

MALAYSIAKINI : HINDRAF IS ILLEGAL

The government today declared the Hindu Rights Actions Force (Hindraf) an illegal organisation with immediate effect.

MCPXHome Minister Syed Hamid Albar said the decision was made after the ministry was satisfied with facts and evidence that showed "Hindraf had and was being used for unlawful purposes and posed a threat to public order and morality".

"Based on powers vested under Section 5(1) of the Societies Act, Hindraf from today is declared an illegal organisation," he said in a statement today.

He said the order was being made as a result of monitoring and investigation on the organisation's activities by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and Home Ministry, since Hindraf's inception.

Syed Hamid said if left unchecked, Hindraf would continue to pose a threat to public order, the security and sovereignty of the country as well as the prevailing racial harmony.

"The decision to declare Hindraf an illegal organisation is not based on one or two of its activities that are in contravention of the law but covers all the actions it has taken since being formed," he said.

Syed Hamid said Hindraf had all the criteria of an organised movement because it had filed for registration with the ROS on Oct 16 last year.

He added that the application was yet to be approved.

He also said that the organisation had actively exploited the Indian community to organise illegal assemblies and street demonstrations without permits.

Such acts, he said, had resulted in some members of the Indian community to rise up against the government.

Causing racial hatred

Syed Hamid also said that Hindraf's actions also caused hatred among the Malays and Indians in the country.

"Hindraf has also tried to secure support from foreign countries for the purpose of pressuring the government to bow to its demands," he added.

Syed Hamid advised the public to distance themselves from Hindraf and not participate in any way in any of its activities.

In recent weeks, Hindraf has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons for visiting Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's open house during the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebrations to deliver an anti-Internal Security Act message to the premier.

The act was seen by many in the government and the Malay media as unIslamic and uncalled for. Numerous calls were made for the organisation to be banned.

Hindraf gained prominence last November for organising a mass rally in Kuala Lumpur to highlight the plight of Indians in this country. Almost 30,000 people participated in the rally which brought the capital to a standstill.

Following that five Hindraf leaders were arrested and detained under the ISA last December.

Hindraf chairperson P Waythamoorthy had by then left the country to London to gain international lobby for the movement. He is still based in London and has been moving the organisation with the help of several key coordinators here.

Mark of the PM's failure

In an immediate reaction DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang said the banning of Hindraf was a testimony to the failure of the prime minister to take nation-building to a new and more mature level.

"It is a retrogressive, vindictive and petty step which will hamper the nation-building healing process vital for Malaysians to feel one and united people again," he said in a statement.

He said that the "ham-fisted measures to ban Hindraf will only aggravate the disaffection among the Indian community".

He gave an assurance that opposition MPs will raise in Parliament the banning of Hindraf.

"I invite MPs from all the BN component parties to join with Pakatan Rakyat MPs to take a common stand - to demand that the home minister revoke the ban on Hindraf...," he said.

HINDRAF TO CONCIDER JOINING BARISAN NASIONAL - malaysiakini

PETALING JAYA: The Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) will only consider being a direct member of Barisan Nasional if its leaders are released from the Internal Security Act (ISA).

Hindraf national event coordinator Kannan Ramasamy said the movement also wanted to negotiate with the Government to ensure the safe return of its chairman P. Waythamoorthy from London.

He was responding to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s proposal to allow direct membership into the Barisan without the need to join any of the component parties.

“All this while, we have been calling for negotiations and even sent official letters to the Prime Minister. But until today, we haven’t had any opportunity to discuss issues of concern,” he said.

Kannan added that if Barisan were to accept direct members, the coalition must then view all as equals.

“Without a change of mindset from Umno and reformation of the Barisan strategy, the move to allow direct entries would not aid the current situation,” he said.

Meanwhile, All-Malaysia Indian Progressive Front (IPF) president Puan Sri Jayashree Gnanapandithan said the party has yet to decide whether to join Barisan.

MALAYSIAKINI : ANOTHER TEMPLE TO BE DEMOLISHED BY PAKATAN RAKYAT

YB S Manikavasagam received news that Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor has issued a notice to demolish a temple in the premises of House No 13, Jalan 5, Taman Indah Serendah, Hulu Selangor. Not very pleasing news coming out of with consideration of the previous demolished temple at Ampang.

Notice by Majlis Daerah

Is this another Sabotage ? What the local Authority trying to show? Can Pakatan Government overcome it?

We understand Majlis Daerah issued notice after received a complain from it’s Councilor (Ahli Majlis) whom happen to be member of Parti Keadilan Rakyat and neighbour residing next to temple since he was disturbed by height of the statue of about 1.8metre.

YB S. Manikavasagam has send his representative to identify the root cause of the problem while awaiting feedback from State Government. He hope the Local Authorities will justify their action to the State Authority by not taking sensitive matters on their own hands.

We would like to hear from representative of Hindu organisation and other NGO on possible solution.

Malaysiakini: MIC making use of young Indian youths

MIC Blogger PUNITHAN SHAN seen in this filepic above, has been appearing on all the major Blogs for the wrong reasons. It is rather clear that this poor lad has been used by Samy Vellu and the MIC to mislead the people into believing that Hindraf and MIC are working together. This however has failed to bear fruit. Punithan also has been attacking , Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar Ibrahim with such venom in his Blogs. Punithan Shan is a nobody who has been used by MIC who has nothing else but a collection of gorgeous looking girls in his Facebook and Friendster sites.

MALAYSIAKINI : Samy Vellu faces calls for him to step down as party chief

KUALA LUMPUR: With the recent announcement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi that he is not seeking re-election in party polls and is stepping down in March, the attention now has shifted to the MIC.

Calls for president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu to follow suit are getting louder, with the latest coming from former vice-president Datuk M. Muthuppalaniappan.

He said Samy Vellu should not seek re-election when his term expires in March.

"It may be difficult to give up power after enjoying it for over 30 years. But Samy Vellu should follow the wisdom of other BN leaders who have announced their desire to retire and pave the way for new leaders to take over," he said.

However, Samy Vellu loyalists are sticking with their boss in wanting to see him re-elected.

Youth chief T. Mohan said the MIC needed Samy Vellu's guidance to recover after the March 8 polls.

"He is contributing to the party and is rebuilding it through a re-branding exercise before handing over to the next president."

He said that Muthuppalaniappan's statement was expected as it was widely known that he could not get along with Samy Vellu.

Mohan said it was unfair to ask Samy Vellu to follow Abdullah's footsteps as the scenario in Umno was different from the MIC.

There is also fear that Samy Vellu may pick his own man to take over the leadership.

"If he thrusts his cronies to the leadership, then Samy Vellu will be the shadow president and MIC will continue to remain irrelevant," said Muthuppalaniappan.

Former central working committee member K.P. Samy said an open and free fight should be allowed for the party's top posts.

"It will determine a president of the grassroots' choice, reflect the credibility of the elected president and avoid a shadow leadership."

DAP-PKR-PAS' betrayal of the Indians - malaysiakini

The recent announcement of the exco composition of the PKR-DAP-PAS
controlled Perak and Selangor is a huge let down for the marginalized
Indian community. It really borders on the outer limits of betrayal. Least
this letter be misconstrued as a mischievous attempt of a MIC or Barisan
supporter, let this be put to rest – we voted for PAS in Perak and for PKR
in Selangor.

And what do we marginalised Indians get in return? The same one miserable
exco seat each in Selangor and Perak – just like what Umno gave MIC. For a
marginalised community that started the tsunami what do we get – one
miserable seat. For a community that defied the police, bore the brunt of
tear gas, were charged with murder and placed in police lock ups and under
the ISA – what do we get? One miserable exco seat. We threw the dictator
Samy Vellu out in Perak and what do we get in Perak? One miserable exco
seat.
Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Kit Siang would not have had an audience at their
early ceramah if not for the Indians who made a sizable portion of the
audience. Others saw us coming out in the thousands for the ceramah and
decided to follow suit. A marginalised community ignited a revolution in
this country that ended up in a tsunami. And what do we get for it?
Betrayal.
The problems of the suppressed Indian community are too enormous for just a
single exco member to handle. A Sivanesan of Perak and Dr Xavier Jayakumar
would fail because the task is unmanageable – unmanageable by any single
person. Definitely an argument will be forthcoming that this Barisan Rakyat
represents all races and that their elected representatives would take care
of all regardless. If so, then why the tussle over exco seat allocations
between the parties? Why the wrangling over juicy portfolios like land and
local government?
How about PAS in Perak? Instead of taking three exco seats, why didn’t it
give up one and insist on two exco seats for Indians? How could PAS have
won these many seats both in Selangor and Perak if not for the 95% Indian
support for a party that wouldn’t even allow me, a Malaysian, to be a full
member because of my religion? Is this action a ‘Malaysian Malaysia
action, can this action be called keadilan and is this the action of a
party that is rooted in religion?
We Indian Malaysians were colour blind, race blind and religion blind
during the last elections – because we didn’t want it to matter. To our
core, we were Malaysians first, Malaysians second and Malaysians third. We
placed our entire faith in the hands of the Barisan Rakyat parties. Now
have we been shortchanged. No, we have been betrayed instead.
How could one Indian exco member be successful in safeguarding the interest
of all the Indians as well as the interest of all Malaysians in Selangor
and Perak? The Malaysian Malaysia’s DAP website and PKR’s website don’t
even have sections in Tamil – only Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin!
Now who is marginalising whom? Gentlemen, let your action speak louder than
all your sweet campaign words.

Please make amends to your actions. There are city council and municipal
council
heads to be changed. The PKR-DAP-PAS coalition should ensure that
at least some of the big cities have an Indian as a mayor or municipal
head, both in Selangor and Perak. There are also state government bodies
and corporations. Please ensure adequate representation at senior levels.
Also, both these states, please come up with a comprehensive plan to combat
the problems the Indians are faced with. We are disappointed so far but we
are hopeful that the wrongs will be righted. We hope we will not be let
down again in the future.

THE RAKYAT'S LONG MARCH TO PUTRAJAYA HAS JUST BEGUN

From the scribe of www.MarGeeMar.blogspot.com
We are now hearing a very disturbing yet not very surprising claim that the BN/Umno regime is going to bribe the voters of Permatang Pauh with RM 1,000 per vote to ensure that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wins with a slim majority. The was exposed by fellow patriotic Blogger Amin
Iskandar@Black in his Bahasa Malaysia Blog http://aminiskandar.wordpress.com/

Brother Iskandar says that he has credible inside information from within BN/Umno itself that the reason for this is to sent a message to the Rakyat (people) that DSAI has lost his appeal. This is what the BN/Umno spin doctors such as Wong Chun Wai need for their spin.We even have Anak Mami Sharizat Jalil claiming that BN/Umno will do well because BN/Umno has a 'good track record' in Permatang Pauh.

Yesterday, we had 'cheapskate attention seeker' Ezam Mat Nor talking trash to Umno members who this Scribe came to know were ferried in by the busloads from outside Permatang Pauh to listen to Ezam speak through his ass.

Umno owned TV3 continued to talk about Saiful's ass supposedly getting screwed by Anwar and also about Ezam's grandstanding in Permatang Pauh. No mention was made about Dr. Tan Yee Kew and 2,000 BN members crossing over to PKR. Those of you who know who these TV3 newscasters are, please do everyone a favor and tell these brainless oxymorons to either quit reading the news on TV3 or prepare to get their faces spat at by the Rakyat who are not only fed up with their spin but also with the manner in which these newscasters present the news emotionally when it is about the opposition as though the Opposition is evil.

This Scribe also hopes that this MIC slime ball going by the name of Punithan Shan (picture above left) gets exposed for the lies and spin which Malaysiakini seems to be giving him unfettered access. You can read his trash and spin here http://indiansmalaysia.blogspot.com/2008/08/mic-walking-talk-malaysiakini-in-blogs_04.html

Punithan is such a cheapskate that he adds MALAYSIAKINI on his subject title just to get his articles appear on Malaysiakini. What do you expect from a pariah MIC ass kisser? This guy is claiming in his Blog that the MIC has been doing great things for the Indian community. One look at his face will tell you that Punithan or 'Puritan' Shan is another MICputra who benefited from his ass wiping in MIC. Watch out for this guy as he is trying to split the Indian support for Pakatan Rakyat by hijacking the Hindraf struggle.

In the end of the day, this Scribe has only this to say to Punithan and all the other BN/Umno slime balls:

在这个鬼魂月,我们将看BN/Umno政权的秋天。 Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim在Permatang Pauh将上升象菲尼斯在被征服的BN/Umno政权并且带领Pakatan Rakyat到Putrajaya!

PWM: Future Plans for HINDRAF

HINDRAF
135-3 KEMAYAN SQUARE
70300 SEREMBAN
NEGERI SEMBILAN

Press Statement 05.08.08.

I refer to the recent launch of the Jalur Gemilang on August 3, 2008. In addition to the teleconference that was interrupted due to technical reasons, I would to add the following;

* Hindraf currently have been infiltrated with more than 200 Special Branch informers. HINDRAF's genuine supporters should and be aware there are many fellow "supporters " who pretend to be our loyal supporters but in fact they are agent provocateur planted by parties interested in destroying and dismantling HINDRAF's struggle for the Indian community. These agent provocateurs are not necessarily Police officers but informers who are in the payroll of Special Branch. In due cause, HINDRAF will reveal these personnels with evidence.

* The tag name HINDRAF has been used to promote businesses and enhancement of several personalities for their own benefits and objectives. Many see HINDRAF as an opportunity to gain leverage and dictate their own benefits. This is totally against HINDRAF principle. HINDRAF is you and me who are battling a war for better policies and governance for the Malaysian Indian as a society with equal and fair treatment in relation to education, economics and freedom of religion as oppose to individual glamour and glory. HINDRAF is involved for the well being of society not monetary and individual public recognization.

Further I would add the following as our future plans for the coming months

* HINDRAF's flag campaign to celebrate our 51st Merdeka Day on August 31, 2008;
* HINDRAF's request to the government for HINDRAF's supporter to march in the 51st National Day Parade as citizen of Malaysia;
* HINDRAF Relay Hunger strikes throughout the country starting with KLCC on every Sunday from August 10, 2008
* HINDRAF Hunger Strike for Merdeka Day and 24 hr YAAGAM in Seremban on 31st August 2008;
* HINDRAF supporters of at least 10,000 to attend PM's Hari Raya Open in Kepala Batas and the National Hari Raya celebration in Kuala Lumpur;
* HINDRAF supporter's of at least 10,000 in each state to attend the Hari Raya Open house in their respective Menteri Besar's house;
* HINDRAF to initiate nationwide appeal to all Sultans and Yang Dipertua Negeri starting with the state of Penang.
* HINDRAF request it's supporter to celebrate Deepavali in simplicity with family and friends and no open houses.
* HINDRAF shall intensify its campaign to release the HINDRAF 5 by approaching all countries in the United Nation if the Malaysian government continue to hold them arbitrarily for voicing their concern for the systematically discriminated Malaysian Indians beyond the end of December 2008
* HINDRAF would hold a mega gathering to commemorate November 25th mass Malaysian Indian uprising against neo colonialization of Malaysian Indians.

'A conspiracy in Hindraf review'

IPOH: The six-month review of the detention of the five Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) leaders on July 1 was a "camera-in-camera", with two senior federal counsel (SFC) conspiring with the investigating officer (IO), the High Court was told yesterday.

"The IO (Acting ACP Yusoff Mohd Amin) was present throughout the proceeding. Everything was held in camera. We agree that the public should be excluded, but it was a camera in camera. It was held in secret.

"Wahab (SFC Abdul Wahab Mohamed), Najib (SFC Najib Zakaria) and the IO conspired to hold it in camera. Whatever happened behind the back of the defence and counsel, we don't know," said counsel Karpal Singh when submitting on his habeas corpus application, which sought the release of the five Hindraf leaders detained under the Internal Security Act yesterday.

The five detainees are lawyers R. Kengadharan, 41, M. Manoharan, 47, V. Ganabatirau, 35, P. Uthayakumar, 47 and businessman K. Vasantha Kumar, 35.

At yesterday's proceedings, Karpal told judicial commissioner Ridwan Ibrahim that the IO was not called to give evidence or to rebut the evidence given by the five.
It was also not disputed that the IO's evidence was taken in camera and that further discussions were held in camera with Najib, in the absence of the five detained men and their counsel, he said.

"We asked for the IO to be called. If there were any points that the IO made that touched on national security, objections could be made. Court discretion should be exercised judiciously. How can they anticipate that what the IO said would touch on national security?" he asked.

The advisory board of the detention centre in Kamunting was to search for the "unvarnished truth" and see if the detention was justified, he added.

He submitted that the board was wrong in not applying the trappings of a judicial enquiry as required, when hearing the applicants' representation.

SFC Datuk Mohd Yusof Zainal Abidin said the review by the board was not a judiciary enquiry but an executive function.

"Thus, the right to cross-examine does not arise," he said, when responding to Karpal's complaint that he could not cross-examine the IO and that the IO did not cross-examine his clients' evidence during the review.

On the claim that the board did not comply with procedures, he cited a case in which the then Federal Court judge Tun Abdul Hamid Mohamad said: "It is not for the courts to make laws or rules. If there is no such procedural requirement, then there cannot be non-compliance thereof".

Karpal was assisted by counsel Gobind Singh Deo, Ram Karpal, P. Ponnmogam, R.S.N. Rayer and M. Kulasegaran, while Mohd Yusof appeared for both respondents -- home minister and the commandant of the Kamunting detention centre -- with Wahab and Najib. Ridwan fixed Sept 8 for decision.

MAKKAL SHAKTI: ANOTHER DISAPOINTMENT BY PAKATAN RAKYAT

ONCE AGAIN PAKATAN RAKYAT GOVERNMENT DISAPPOINTED INDIANS. NEWLY FORMED PAKATAN RAKYAT PENANG COUNCILORS ABRUBTLY REJECTED THE LAND ALLOCATED FOR AZAD TAMIL SCHOOL IN BAGAN JERMAL, PENANG.

WE STILL GOING TO SIT BACK AND SAY THAT THEY JUST TOOK CHARGE AND MUST GIVE THEM TIME. NOT EVEN 6 MONTHS AND THEY CLOSING DOWN TAMIL SCHOOLS....

PROF RAMASAMY STILL MULLING ON THIS MATTER..............

REFER TO THE PRESS REPORT BELOW

Council cancels land allocation to tamil school

The state authorities had revoked land allocated to the Azad Tamil School in Bagan Jermal, Penang.
The school, which began operating in 1946, is presently “squatting” at the Penang Indian Association building and had submitted numerous applications to the state government for allocation of land so that new premises with proper facilities could be built.

The school does not have enough classrooms. There is also no computer laboratory, science laboratory and library.

The paper also reported that the previous government under chief minister Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon and former state executive councillor P.K. Subbaiyah had approved the land near a Hindu temple in the Waterfall area that was identified by the school parent-teacher association in 2005.

The Penang Municipal Council, which owns the land, had also approved the allocation for the school.

MIC president and former works minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu had also obtained the necessary funds amounting to RM750,000 from the Federal Government to build the new school.

The Penang Municipal Council cancelled the land allocated to the school after the recent general election.

THE LAND AND FUND WAS FOUGHT BY MIC BEFORE THE GE. SO THEY HAVE RESPONSIBLE TOO. WHAT THEY GOING TO ABOUT IT? WORK SOMETHING ON OR GOING TO SAY ITS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS?

HINDRAF and other indian groups fed up with pakatan govts - malaysiakini

Several Indian civil movements are fed up with the indifferent attitude of Pakatan Rakyat governments.

Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf), Penang Makkal Sakti Welfare Association (Pemaswa) and newly formed Hindu Action Network (Han) want the new Pakatan governments to form state Indian councils led by the menteri besar or chief minister.

The suggested councils will plan and implement beneficial programmes for the Indian community, with short, medium and long term goals.

According to Hindraf national coordinator TS Thanenthiran, the Pakatan governments have failed to fulfill their promises.

He said during the elections, Pakatan used the Hindraf tagline Makkal Sakti but since winning they have not unveiled any policy to benefit the community.

"Pakatan Rakyat ruling parties, be it DAP in Penang, PAS in Kedah and Perak and PKR in Selangor, seemed to have made empty electoral promises to the Indians," he added.

He stressed Hindraf would continue to fight along the movement’s 18-point memorandum submitted to the federal government last year.

Temple demolitions, non-existence of kindergartens in Tamil schools, private and public sector marginalisation and high suicide rates, are some of the issues the memorandum covers.

'Reps betrayed the community'

Meanwhile, Pemaswa president G Asoghan claimed that Indian leaders in the Pakatan government have "betrayed the Indian community’s trust in them" to deliver the goods.

"Until today, the state governments, particularly Indian leaders, are resting on their laurels," he said.

He claimed that more from MIC, PPP and IPF have benefited from the DAP government in Penang than genuine Hindraf supporters

Han coordinator G Mugunthan (left) criticised Penang’s elected Indian assemblypersons of protecting their chronic self-interests when they rejected a previous DAP proposal for a state council.

Though DAP members were keen for a one-stop council, the DAP Indian assemblypersons rejected it as "it will put undue pressure on them to deliver."

"Now they are freely doing anything according to their whims and fancies," he said, adding that the appointment of an Indian as Penang deputy chief minister has been more "a curse than a blessing" to the community.

"It has only helped some chronic characters from BN."

Hindraf, Han and Pemaswa plan to organise a joint dialogue session with all relevant Pakatan Rakyat heads of state governments over the issue.

MIC, Hindraf in secret talks ... NOT!

KUALA LUMPUR: The MIC says that it has been wooing the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) in secret discussions, but the group has rejected this claim outright.

MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said the party had been holding discussions with Hindraf youth leaders in Kedah, Perak and Selangor, which he said went well. He said the meetings went well as the Hindraf leaders realised that the MIC was also fighting to upgrade the living standards of the Indian community.

"Whatever happened in the past, especially in the March polls, is history. We must work together for the betterment of the community," he said, claiming that some of the Hindraf leaders also regretted their decision to support the opposition.

Hindraf national event co-ordinator Kannan Ramasamy, when contacted, said he was baffled by Samy Velu’s claims as none of the movement’s 10 coordinators had met any MIC leaders.

“Hindraf does not have a membership roll. It is led by P. Waythamoorthy who is assisted by 10 coordinators and as far as I know, none of us had met anyone from the MIC,” added Kannan.

Hindraf national coordinator R.S Thanenthiran concurred and added the only best thing that happened from supporting the opposition was the awareness created that Indians mattered in the country.

“For the first time ever, it has been made known to the minority Indians that they had the power to bring changes through the ballot box,” he added.

Both Thanenthiran and Kannan advised Samy Vellu to back off and concentrate on rebuilding the MIC.

MAKKAL SHAKTI :
IF THE TALK CAN BENEFIT OUR COMMUNITY, THEN Y NOT??? The same leaders above voiced out their disagreement on PR penang government and recently perak PR govern. Refer to the press statement as posted in malaysiakini.

HYPOCRITE PAKATAN RAKYAT!!! - People's welfare or Political propaganda???

Is it is necessary to spend RM300k annually to publish state magazine by the Penang state government as well as the Perak state government.

I have not read any of the magazines published yet but then again, there’s the Internet and you could have published it for almost free or very minimal cost. But maybe their aim is to reach to those who does not have internet access at all. And also lets not forget that the mainstream media is controlled by the gov and probably this is one of the way to reach out to more people, that is to publish your own magazine.

Studying current situation i think people who voted for Pakatan Rakyat expect them to different from Barisan Nasional who are famous for their "expensive life style".

The education minister challanged PR governments to provide land for Tamil schools, and the schools will be bantuan penuh the next day. I think there are many ways were they could spend this peoples money.

Is political propaganda is much more important for you guys compare to people's welfare??? Think about it. Hindraf have asking and asking and asking PR state governments to look in to tamil schools and temple issues.....BUT THEY STILL 'ACT' DEAF. ( Refer to HINDRAF chairman's letter to PR menteri besars).

"This our appeal is not excessive as almost immediately after taking over power in Selangor, and Perak 130 hectares and RM 100 millions approved for the pig farm project and 60,000 TOL occupants of New villages in Perak were given freehold titles (Utusan 05/04/08 pg 14). After all this Indian appeal is, for public and not private or commercial purposes as above." Says Mr.waythamorthy, HINDRAF Chairman.

MALAYSIKINI : Groups unhappy with Pakatan’s propaganda mags

Ahti Veeranggan | Jul 25, 08 8:51pm

Penang has Suara Rakyat and Perak, MCPXCitra Perak. The two Pakatan-led state governments are now under fire for wasting public funds on such propaganda magazines.

Civil society groups today blasted the two state governments, calling them ‘hypocrites’ as they were doing the same thing as the previous governments which they had earlier criticised.

Penang-based Media Watch group described Suara Rakyat, published by the DAP-led Penang government and Citra Perak in PAS-led Perak as “merely a public media tool of partisan propaganda.”

“The Pakatan Rakyat governments are no different from the previous ones after all. They are hypocrites by copying BN media policy to serve their cynical self interests,” said its coordinator B K Ong, stressing Media Watch’s stand on governments to ‘stay away’ from media publications.

Even if a state government funds and publishes a state magazine, he argues it should be administrated by an independent editorial board to provide free and fair news coverage.

RM300,000 annually

“But these magazines are more like mouthpieces of Pakatan Rakyat state governments than independent magazines,” he told Malaysiakini.

It is learnt that the Penang government will have to cough up RM300,000 to publish three editions of 20,000 copies each for Suara Rakyat annually, while Perak is expected to spend a similar amount for six editions of 10,000 copies each for Citra Perak.

The 52-page Suara Rakyat, distributed free to the public, contains government propaganda in three languages, Bahasa, Mandarin and Tamil, while the 20-page Citra Perak is published in Bahasa only.

Suara Rakyat was launched on Monday and Citra Perak, last month.

Former Penang chief minister Dr Koh Tsu Koon spent nearly RM300,000 a year to publish separate Malay, Chinese and Tamil magazines in Penang.

The Malay version, Wawasan Rakyat was published first in1994, Hong Yuan in Mandarin was launched in 1999 while Makkal Madal in Tamil was started in 2003.

The previous Perak BN government only published Warta Perak in Bahasa.

By following the precedent set by his predecessor, Ong said Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had proven to be a hypocrite since “he had condemned BN-controlled media all these years.”

“He should have titled the magazine as Suara Kerajaan (Government Voice) not Suara Rakyat (People’s Voice),” he said.

Times are hard, save money

Meanwhile, United Hindu Religious Council president G Mugunthan criticised the Pakatan Rakyat state governments of not going on an austerity drive to save government spending, more so during such difficult times for the people.

“The Pakatan state governments claim to be thrifty but are wrongly spending precious government funds on propaganda. The money could have well spent for noble causes like helping the poor and Tamil schools,” he stressed.

Although social reform movement Aliran is not against the government-sponsored publications, it nonetheless said that state magazines should be more for “intellectual discourse, intelligent thinking and people centric.”

Penang Heritage Trust head Dr Choon Sim Poey concurred that it would not be right for the state governments to utilise public funds for political publicity, instead of publishing government policies and action plans for the information of the people.

Penang opposition leader Azhar Ibrahim on Monday criticised the state government of going back on its promise to cut operational costs due to a lack of funds.

“Is this what we call the ‘CAT’ government?” he asked, taking a swipe at the state government’s widely-propagated principles of competency, accountability and transparency (CAT).

YAB

Re: (1) Land for SRJK (T) Seaport, Petaling Jaya and Simpang Lima, Klang
Tamil Schools.

(2) Land for a Tamil School in Lindungan with 10,000 Indian families.

(3) Land for all Tamil Schools, Hindu Temples, Hindu Crematoriums and

Burial Sites further to Section 76(AA) of the National Land Code.

With reference to the aforesaid matter, we hereby formally apply to the Menteri Besar of Selangor for state freehold land for the SRJK (T) seaport SS7, Petaling Jaya and the Simpang Lima Tamil School, Klang.

The Tamil Nesan and New Straight Times 14/07/08 at page 13 reported that the Parent Teachers Association of this SS7 Seaport Tamil School Mr. Purshothaman at a public meeting with MIC President had asked the present 0.6 hectare land to be increased to 1.2 hectares, Samy Vellu replied “Why don’t you see Pakatan Rakyat?” for the extra land. You people don’t understand how it works (i.e. under UMNO it does not work) Tamil School.

In the same news report the Kg. Lindungan area which has 10,000 Indian families also in need of a Tamil School. The Tamil Nesan in its front page report on 14/07/08 reported that the Simpang Lima Klang Tamil School which is the biggest Tamil School in Malaysia with an enrollment of 2,152 students and 97 teachers are having a shortage of land space and classrooms. They had asked the Deputy Education Minister who had visited the school for land for this school to be expanded.

We hereby apply that land be alienated to those Tamil Schools and the intended Tamil School in Kg. Lindungan according to Section 76 (AA) of the National Land Code where the State can alienate freehold land for a public purposes or when there are special circumstances (NST 01/06/08 pg 14).

To the Menteri Besars of Selangor, Perak, Penang, Kedah and Kelantan further to our letters to Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, YB Lim Kit Siang and Dato Seri Hadi Awang dated 21st April 2008 we hereby appeal that state government land be alienated further to Section 76 (AA) of the National Land Code to all Tamil schools, Hindu Temples, Hindu Crematoriums and Burial Sites in these five States. With this state land these Tamil schools will automatically become fully aided government schools and will not be looking like cow sheds any more. The Hindu Temples which are also the heritage of this country will stop being demolished. The Hindu Crematoriums and Burial Sites will no longer demolish and/or relocated at the smallest excuse of development.

This our appeal is not excessive as almost immediately after taking over power in Selangor, and Perak 130 hectares and RM 100 millions approved for the pig farm project and 60,000 TOL occupants of New villages in Perak were given freehold titles (Utusan 05/04/08 pg 14). After all this Indian appeal is, for public and not private or commercial purposes as above.

Thank you,

Yours faithfully,

P. Waytha Moorthy

HINDRAF : Pakatan Rakyat marginalize Indians???

posted on Malaysiakini on July 10 2008

MALAYSIA KINI -
Hindraf: Why so few Indian councillors in Perak?

The Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) Perak branch is unhappy with the PAS-led Pakatan Rakyat Perak government over what it describes as “continuous marginalisation of Indians

ala Barisan Nasional.”

In its memorandum delivered to Menteri Besar Nizar Jamaluddin’s office in Ipoh today, they criticised the state government for shirking on its 60 councillors in 15 local authorities promise.

A 15-member Hindraf delegation led by its coordinator A Vathe Murthi met Nizar’s special assistant in charge of Indian affairs M Nadaraja.

Their ire is directed at the reduced 48 Indian councillor appointments from a possible 338 which Vathe lambasted as “not proportionate to represent the interests of the already marginalised Perak Indian population.”

The Perak government did promise Hindraf and other state Indian groups 60 councillors.

300,000 Indians

The previous BN government had 41 Indian councillors across the state.

According to the Statistics Department, Perak houses some 300,000 Indians, or 13 percent of the state’s population, the country's second biggest after Selangor with 600,000.

He wants Nizar to revert back to the originally promised number.

Additional to that, Perak Hindraf is asking for affirmative policies to provide vast opportunities in all fields in both public and private sectors to marginalised Indians.

"It’s pointless to merely talk on correcting the wrongs done by the previous BN state government when one failed to prove it’s a government with a difference.

Nizar according to Perak Hindraf has to act firmly and fairly and meet its demands to prevent the movement resorting to other means to voice out their disapproval.

Vathe believes Pakatan Rakyat leaders should not forget the massive contribution of Makkal Sakti, one of Hindraf’s monikers.

The councillors

A total 338 councillors were appointed by Perak on Monday.

Among them were 134 Chinese, 124 Malays, five representatives from special groups, such as Orang Asli and disabled people, and 27 from NGOs.

Besides Ipoh City Hall the other municipalities are Kuala Kangsar, Taiping, Manjung and Teluk Intan Hilir Perak, and the district councils of Grik, Kerian, Kinta Barat, Kinta Selatan, Lenggong, Pengkalan Hulu, Perak Tengah, Selama, Tanjung Malim and Tapah.

The other controversy present is the appointment of Ipoh Barat MP M Kulasegaran as councillor in the city he represents in Parliament.

He is likely to be made deputy mayor, a move heavily criticised in Perak as driven by “greed and lust for power and control.”

“Kulasegaran should have given the post to another political worker,” lamented a politician from Pakatan Rakyat.

A certain number of Pakatan members are miffed by the large number of non-political appointments. They were made councillors at the expense of political members who toiled for Pakatan’s electoral success.

Among the non-political appointments were 18 engineers, 16 architects, 13 doctors, 11 lawyers, two professors, 12 honorary doctorates, 16 ex-teachers, 16 corporate managers, nine housing developers, 16 contractors, 65 businessmen, eight consultants, two supervisors, one former court president, eight datuks, one datuk laksamana and 18 NGO leaders.

Only 12 political workers were appointed, with the majority of political appointments going to political leaders.

The grassroots have rued that their political leaders have inherited ‘BN’s nepotism and cronyism’ in appointing their relatives and friends as councillors, while neglecting and ignoring them.

IS PAS SINCERE ON MALAYSIAN'S MALAYSIA???

I have to say that I strongly disagree with Dr Muhahid's (PAS) statement because Penang is a multiracial state and has just been selected by the UNESCO World Heritage as a new cultural site on 8 July 2008. This will also attract more tourist form all over the world to visit us which will directly boost our tourism economy. CONGRATULATIONS TO PENANG! I LOVE PENANG & PENANG IS MY HOME!

This is referring to Malaysiakini : Jalan: PAS bantah exco P. Pinang http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/86669

PAS Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa from PAS mentions that it will tarnish the reputation of the Nasional Language which is the Bahasa Malaysia.IS THIS 'MALAYSIAN'S MALAYSIA SPIRIT"???

THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES......
